Last spring we sat with my parents in a Seattle Hospital room where my Dad was seeing doctors about upcoming cancer treatment. During our visit we told them about ideas for our first big 4000 mile trip through 5 western states. They listened with such painful looks on their faces when Mom finally said, only as Mom's can, "What if something happens"? We looked at at each other and responded "We hope something does". This is a running log of our adventures.

You need a helmet sticker that sez, " I'd rather push a Har-(oops) BMW than ride a Honda.
ReplyDeleteYeah right! I've been looking on line for the sticker but it seems all the different versions end up with me pushing a Harley. What's up with that?
ReplyDeleteCut & Paste, Dude!!
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you retire and come along?
ReplyDeleteNot sure you could keep up, Ed.
ReplyDeleteHaha...nice. I'd better be careful I don't tick off the entire Harley population then tell them where I'm gonna be every night. I'll wave the white flag now for my own safety.
ReplyDeleteThe bike is ready for pickup!! Some talk about oil in the air filter and I might have overfilled it. Not sure if that's why the plug was fouled or if that can even happen. They falshed the computer with an update, replaced the plug, adjusted the valves, tested the injector, and cleaned oil out of the air filter box.
ReplyDeleteSimple fix! Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteYup the fix seems easy. Don't over fill the oil, buy the most expensive gas you can find, and hold down the starter button a couple seconds after it goes so the computer initializes.
ReplyDeleteHad a nice ride tonight after we picked up the 650. Weather dry tonight and the temp around 45. Used the intercom for the first time and LOVED it. She also commented to me she felt safer knowing when turns were comming. This set will allow me to answer my cell (AS IF) and listen to tunes.
Little blue bike is running great!
Put about 2 hours on the bike today and no problems. The shop boys at "south sound BMW" spotted us at the shop today and made it a point to come out and ask how things went today.
ReplyDeleteScala intercom...How did we ever ride without them?
What an awesome day of riding around the ranges on Ft. Lewis. to get the "Little Mrs" some gravel road, mud, and water practice. Made a short movie and for some of you the first time to see her ride. I promise I am doing all i can to teach her safe riding. Wonderful to see her out and living life.
ReplyDeleteThanks Russ and Michelle for the wonderful dinner after our ride. Totally unexpected, Thank you both for the nice time.
Enjoy the video....are we rookies or what? Poor Quality I know but we had to srink the file to upload it.
