Last spring we sat with my parents in a Seattle Hospital room where my Dad was seeing doctors about upcoming cancer treatment. During our visit we told them about ideas for our first big 4000 mile trip through 5 western states. They listened with such painful looks on their faces when Mom finally said, only as Mom's can, "What if something happens"? We looked at at each other and responded "We hope something does". This is a running log of our adventures.

R1200GS Updates
My 2005 BMW R1200GS is in ready condition. The bike has been fitted with new panniers and oil/fuel canisters. I also installed Garmin GPS and new tires. Dry bags and some gas and I'm on the road.
The "Angry Washer" link is spot on. Looks like they put boots in that thing right.I have a feeling by day 9 my laundry might not even be washable...Hmmm what would a Harley guy do?
