What to take - What not to take?

For all those who have been there and done that.

  1. Picked up a tent today from Cabela's. It's a larger Expedition 2 person tent. A little larger then my Back packing. We will enjoy the extra room.

    2 new head lamps..Check

Getting the flick on layers and what clothes we will take and a bigger list of things we will try hard to leave home. We are planning to ride in temps in the high 30's at some of the locations at higher elevations.

  3. Pillows!? What kind of "Adventure Biker" takes (or gets to take) a pillow? I don't even think I'm gonna be able to take extra underwear.

What's funny about your comment is, while at Cabela's setting up the tent, Wendy brought over a camp pillow and asked me if she could bring it. I gave her the harshet look I could muster without laughing and reminded her we're "Adventure Bikers"! we sleep on dirt! we eat road kill! We NEVER shower until we get home! ...pillow...

I won't tease your Harley bunch anymore if you promise not to tell my Adventure biker friends I wish I could take a nice big pillow along. A pillow would be really nice.

You really pull a trailer? LOL-That's too much. Send me a pic.

  4. WOW what a rig! Thanks for the pic that thing is awesome. What girl would turn down a trip on one of those things? A trailer FULL of pillows.

My wife thought you might add a mirror under the lid with some nice LED lighting, a mount for a curling iron and blow dryer.

  6. Does anyone recommend "Underarmor"? I do some Hiking and I can tell you, Cotton kills! Is this true for long Motorbike rides also?

  7. I've heard that sheepskin (fleece) on the seat works good.
