Day 19 - Yosemite!

Leaving Fresno with all our gear was a good feeling. Thanks to the guys at La Quinta! You guys were great and took such great care of us.

Fresno North on Ca 41 into the south gate at the park. We gassed up in Oakhurst, got some cash and had a bite to eat. From here we took a short trip to see Bass Lake Resort, just cause. Now we're off to the park and it was about a 45 minute ride to the south gate. Nice to have the National Park Pass on this trip. Flash and dash!
As we entered the park we headed up and over a pass into Yosemite Village. This is where most of the big views are along with food and stickers for the boxes. We hit cold temps and snow on the way over but once we started down into the valley the temps ended up around 70-ish. Not too many people here at this time but I could see this place would be a nut house if it was full.
Tons of hiking and camping to be had. We also saw a number of resorts inside the park and a lot close to the rock walls.

We left the park on Hwy 120 and ended up in Oakdale for the night. This was one of the longest days of the trip and we covered about 230 miles. When you leave the park there really isn't much in the way of lodging so it's a long haul to a town.

Check Copperopollis on the map. This place looked cool but we didn't have the time to check it out. The ride from Yosemite to Oakdale was one of the prettiest rides of the trip. Farm and cattle country.

Trip miles on the bike now over 2,500!!

Train rides and gift shop just outside the south gate.

Pix are no good. This place was just Enormous! I hope the video looks good.

The Village

I told you! It's big.

Finally I get the burger and the sticker to prove it. I love this place!
